DEM/DTM collection that's at the highest possible level of accuracy

At J.R. CanMap we excel at DEM/DTM creation. We run contours interactively as we create our surfaces to ensure that they generate a true ground surface that exceeds all specifications. Using Terramodel software breaklines are defined along with manually collected mass points to ensure the most accurate surface possible. Breakline types collected are soft, hard, and sharp in conjunction with mass points which ensures the highest possible level of accuracy.

Mass points are filtered and are not collected near breaklines to avoid any pulling or stretching of the contours.

Hard surfaces are collected exclusively in point mode with appropriate point spacing. Soft surfaces are collected in stream or point mode depending on the client’s specifications.

All 3D planimetric features that define the surface, such as streams, sidewalks, driveways, curbs, etc., are duplicated as one of the four appropriate breaklines and output in a separate DEM file.
